Freelance photographer Tom Hunter specializes in architectural photography, virtual 360 photography, food photography and media solutions (including video/audio production).

I was born in Naples Long Beach, CA, then moved to the the city of Pasadena (at the age of 6). Fast forwarding to my freshman year of high school, I decided to explore an interest of mine (influenced from my father), and signed up for a photography darkroom course (to learn some fundamentals). By the end of the school year, my creative obsession was recognized by having one of my (pinhole camera) images selected and published on the front cover of the schools yearbook.

My introduction to photography was first sparked at home in my father basement darkroom, where I would watch my dad develope film and watch prints come to life, giving me some basic skills.

All that crazy equipment (in the basement), and some basic knowledge fueled my creative (ADHD) energy to go out and learn more about this newly found discovery (as I did in school).

Years later, I bought my first slr camera (and tripod), and like a magnet, I was instantly drown to architecture (a fine legacy of Pasadena's history), roaming through exclusive Pasadena neighborhoods with a tripod and camera, spending all my money on film.

But as years past, my photography interest shifted towards music (ADHD), learning bass guitar, going to collage (PCC-telecommunications), interning at radio stations(KROQ, KLSX, KRLA), DJing at small venues, assistant engineering at an awesome recording studio (Michael Kamen/Chapel Studios,LA), and waiting tables at a fine dining $$$ establishment (almost all at the same time)!

I'm skipping a lot of the intermediate stuff, saving that for the book!

With the good money $$$ I was making at the restaurant, I decided to start investing in more photography gear, thinking maybe I could do something with my still lingering photography interest.

After doing some traveling (europe-2mo, maui-3y, tahoe-15y, vegas-1y, oahu-2y), photographing everything in site (thanks to the digital age), a good music/photographer friend got me started in real estate photography, and dang, was I ever excited!!!

Bada Bing Bada Boom, my new career was launched, and here I am today!
